Can a lower and upper be to too tight? There is NO play in my S&W upper and Tactical Machining lower. They went together fine when I tried them out before assembly, once everything was together it was tight. The front take down pin went in OK, but the rear needed a little tap.

| My upper was really tight on my lower also. ended up the pin hold in the upper had a little to much material left in and wasn't perfectly round, i had to use a punch to get it out and had to give it a tap to get it in. 500 rounds later i can push it in and out with my thumb, but there's still no play. pretty much feels perfect. |
