Just got a gift of a few tools for when I get home from Afghanistan so I can start my first build.
I don't know what that wrench is called but the armor guys say it works as a castle-nut wrench in a pinch. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_OAvjk1Xn-TA/TafbVTllh-I/AAAAAAAAADc/XtOqlodCqos/s640/ar%20tools.JPG |
| The one on the left is a as issued armorers wrench it will do flash hiders (a1/a2) buffer tubes and barrel nuts with provisions for your torque wrench. The one on the right is a spanner and it's pretty much only for castle nuts. I myself like the all in ones for example from DPMS etc, but I am going to guess for the price you can't beat those! |

I was wondering if the spanner wrench was a little thick but as long as I can avoid the building addiction, I only "plan" to use it a couple of times; test assemble, disassemble for painting, and reassemble. All though I would love to build a bunch I'm on my second wife and I kinda like this one and don't need to move on to a third I'm glad I have an M249 SAW here in Afghanistan and not an M4, I would already be taking it apart and back together |
