Just got a gift of a few tools for when I get home from Afghanistan so I can start my first build.

I don't know what that wrench is called but the armor guys say it works as a castle-nut wrench in a pinch.

The one on the left is a as issued armorers wrench it will do flash hiders (a1/a2) buffer tubes and barrel nuts with provisions for your torque wrench.  The one on the right is a spanner and it's pretty much only for castle nuts.   I myself like the all in ones for example from DPMS etc, but I am going to guess for the price you can't beat those!

Very nice! I have a USGI wrench like that (the one on the left) on the way now.

The one on the right looks like a spanner wrench someone 'borrowed' from a fire hose station.

I have used a small spanner wrench like that one on small shocks that have a castle nut to adjust the spring..... Id think its to fat for a AR castle nut... hard to tell

I have the tool on the left.   For flash hiders it doesn't work very well.... torque wrench gets in the way.

I was wondering if the spanner wrench was a little thick but as long as I can avoid the building addiction, I only "plan" to use it a couple of times; test assemble, disassemble for painting, and reassemble.  All though I would love to build a bunch I'm on my second wife and I kinda like this one and don't need to move on to a third

I'm glad I have an M249 SAW here in Afghanistan and not an M4, I would already be taking it apart and back together I already take the 249 apart further than the approved "operator level" to clean it.
