OK I am totally new to AR's, I could build an AK blindfolded from a pile of parts. But I just built my first AR lower, and all I can say is OMG that little part goes here.Don't even ask how many pivot pin detents are MIA. Well anyway, can someone explain the whole M4 ramps issue. Great detail not needed as I am a quick learner, but what is the difference in a barrel that says M4 ramps included and one that does not.
Thanks in advance, Geoff |

ok quick answer; basically the M4 feed ramps are deeper and go down lower to pick up the bullet a little better and feed it into the chamber better.
If you take a look at your barrel/chamber there should be two small cuts down at the bottom that lead into the chamber. Those are your feed ramps and the m4 feed ramps are just deeper... easy enough? |
