| Well I tried the search and still not sure, do you think they (tracers) damage the barrel?In theory the rear of the bullet ignites after it leaves the barrel so why would it? |

No, the common consensus is that tracers won't harm the barrel. You are right about them lighting up after they leave the bbl. But even if they DID burn in the barrel, the contact time is so short that they would have no time to heat the barrel appreciably. Compared to the powder load, they have very little stuff in them. ETA but make DARNED SURE they are legal in your area! They may be illegal to OWN, let alone SHOOT. |
