What are the good training videos on best practices in use of combat rifles/carbines and point shooting, etc.?? Paladin Press sells several trainig videos. Does anyone have any opinions about 1. Kelly McCann's tactical Carbine video 2. Tactical Reality / More Tactical reality 3. Combative Pistol Jim Grover a/k/as Kelly McCann Any other recommendations? |

Check out the Thunder Ranch training videos. Thunder Ranch Web Site Clint Smith has a series of training videos available. I have three of the sets, I have learned from them and am happy with the value. |
| MASTERING THE AR-15, which is narrated by Lenny Macgill and came out about 12 years ago, is a great AR-15 video. It's pretty basic, and only touches lightly on tactics, but I found it useful. You can find it on DVD for around $20 or so and it runs about an hour long. |

IMHO videos are for those that have already atteneded training so they don't forget the details, and to help them keep up the skills they learned there. Trying to learn from a video w/o a knowledgeable instructor to correct your errors can cause you grief tryng to unlearn bad habbits once you make it to a class. |
