My iron sights are zeroed at 50 yards with IBZ and when I get an Eotech it will be zeroed at 50 yards as well. My question is will it hit higher or lower at 25 yards and under? I would also like to know how much higher/lower it will be. I am shooting XM193. Thanks |
| At 25 yds. the POI will be lower, rougly it will be 1" low from the point of aim. Depends on how high your EOTech is mounted from the bore, the POI at 25 yds will be different than iron sight, but not significantly enough to make any difference in a practical sense. |

Use this. You can use it for any caliber. For .223 you will have to create your own bullet and set the parameters for it but it's fairly easy to get all the info that is required. From what I could find online the ballistic coefficient for a 55gr FMJ .223 round is .272. Start with this and go from there. Good luck. |

Of course we know this. You just gotta ask in the right forum [;)] Seriously from 0-49.9y the round will be a bit low, from 50.1-219.9y the round will be a bit high. At 50y & 220y the round will be dead on. You can check out the trajectory here: http://groups.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite/zerotrajectories.msnw especially in comparison with other zeroing methods. If you need more details/info contact me. |
