| Can anybody tell me the advantages or disadvantages of one or all of these rectals? I am going to purchase a ACOG scope in the near future here and am up in the air on the rectile type. Also are there any negatives in a compact acog as opposed to a regular acog? Thanks |

The only small negative with the compact series is that they only go to 3x. As for which reticle to choose: Dot = ultra fast aquisition of targets but lacks a precise aiming point. (Your supposed to impose your target on the 12 o'clock position of the dot, not cover it up.) Triangle = very quick aquisition and the tip of the triangle allows for finer precision. Crosshair = very precise but the finer crosshair isn't the best for fast aquisition shooting. |
