I've got a .22 cal upper that I decided to put some triangle hand guards on to give it a quasi retro look. I purchased a set of new in the wrapper triangle guards off GunBroker and installed them. I noted that the vent holes seemed to get more out of alignment right hand to left hand as I looked from the end cap to the delta ring. For "new in the wrapper" hand guards I'm a little disappointed since they also had a few "blister" looking areas as well as a scratch and gouge or two. They did install without a problem though. I figured I'd put this question here in the retro forum since I guessed my chances were better getting an answer here. So, my question is; is this misalignment normal to triangle hand guards or did I get a bad set of "new" grips?

Some misalignment is very common. The amount of mismatch you have pictured may be a little more than what is typically seen. It's kind of luck of the draw on getting a good matching set.

Okay, thanks everyone. This was the first set of triangle handguards I've owned or even looked at up close so I was a true newb when it came to this question.
