I'm planning something odd and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not regular triangle handguards would work with this tube:

And one more question, any idea how long this thing is?

It looks like the triangle handguards fit that tube.

This thread is still on page two. Some good info. That tube looks just like the one on my RRA NM. Its for standard length rifle hand guards. From that groove in front of the nut to the end cap is 11.5".
