Im in the process of my first ar build, Actually building it for my dad because every gun i have he always compares it to the m16 he had in the Marines and thought it would be cool to build one that comes close to the one he had.
Now i know its not going to be an exact clone, but i ordered the M16A1 stock/handguard set, The rifle i have is a standard A2 20" barrel w/round handguards. My question is, other than the triangular handguard cap, is there any other parts i will need to install the triangular handguards on the rifle? Thanks for any info, and if theres anything else i need to know being that this is my first build (first ar at that!) please feel free to add. |
