| Tony's has always been good to me in person. Their www definately blows and if they don't have what you want will badmouth others who do. Not the best way to do business IMO. Think another member has the solution for you. The Tony's carbine tri HG's I've seen at the shows didn't impress me with their quality but they all may be a little cheesy. They do look pretty cool on a carbine but don't think they would stand my in use test personally. I usually use already trashed HG's on my walk around field weapons though. |

I am definitely looking for the drop-ins... was looking at the PK link...it stated that you have to remove the flash hider and front sight to install? the short triangular handguards use the rifle length triangular handguard cap instead of the round carbine one so you will need to remove the front sight base to install the new handguard cap. make sure you get the right size for your barrel (.625 vs. .750) |
|
if you have to knock out the FSB anyways and want an accurate build, might as well get the correct rear HG cap and cut down HGs since it's not truly a drop in. you'll have to pull the barrel but if you're removing the FSB anyways, the barrel pull will be a cakewalk.
unless of course you order a carbine barrel w/ triangular HG cap. |
