On my RRA when I rack the slide the hammer is pulled back and engages but the disconnector will not allow the hammer to come forward unless I push down on the disconnector.  What could this be?

Check the disconnector for:
-Spring installed correctly, wide side facing down into the trigger.
-Burs or rough spots on the sides of the disconnector that catch in the trigger slot.
-Rough disconnector hook.

Hope this gets you started in the right direction...

I checked it quick for installation and burrs, but didn't find anything obvious.  It may be time for a new trigger group.

Just send it back.  By all accounts RRA has a life time warranty

Pull the FCG parts, clean and lube them, and when putting everything back in, make sure that the spring are as such, with the large side of the disco coil downward into the trigger slot.

When the hammer is forward, does the trigger return to it's forward position when you let off, or does it stay to the rear?
Could this possibly be another "trigger spring installed backward" issue........
A picture or description of how your trigger spring is installed may help.

I'll check, but I thought I put it all in correct.  And I never make a mistake.........Sometimes.

Thank you for using post 223 to help.

It seems that the "hook" on the disconnector might have a slight "edge" to it.  I'm gonna buff it off and see if that helps.  If not I'll put a new group in it.  Any recommendations on that would also be appreciated.  It's a carbine that's used for HD.

OK, there was a burr on the edge of the disconnector.  I buffed that off and now it seems to work flawlessly.  I needed to put a ambi safety in it anyway, so I got that done while I was there.  Thanks for the help.
