I have a Stag lower with a Stag LPK installed. While at the range today I had a problem with the trigger not engaging the sear upon reset of the trigger for a follow up shot. Now this is not a going full auto issue. I always hold the trigger in after the shot. I then slowly let off the trigger till it resets so there is no slack before the trigger break for the next shot. I opened it up and did a few test pulls while watching it and holding it. I could see that the disconnector did engage the hammer. When I released the trigger the hammer released instead of getting stopped by the trigger sear.
How or what do I need to do to fix this? Could this be a upside down disconnector spring issue? |

No, the disconnector did its job by interrupting the hammer forward movement after the shot. Seemed to me the problem lies between the hammer sear engagement surface and the trigger sear - Not enough sear engagement, only enough to reset under very controlled movement. Did you check the under surface of the trigger's tail? Perhaps a blown primer got under it? |

Double checked against a factory installed unit in another AR. Everything looks the same. I am still having the same problem. May try installing a different trigger assembly in this one. Not sure if that will work or not. |

Just replace the entire FCG. I had a slightly out of spec disconnector from a DPMS LPK that caused doubling on release of the trigger. Replaced it, and have had no problems since.
Sometimes parts are just out of spec, or all the parts are on the extreme end of the tolerance range, and tolerance stacking happens. |
