I'm sure a lot of you have seen me around asking questions lately as I am COMPLETELY new to AR's. I do not have enough experience to know what tolerances are considered "normal". (I am an AK guy). With that said, I have a MEGA lower and the Magpul Enhanced Triggerguard has some side to side movement. Almost as if it is not wide enough in between the ears AND the receiver. I searched the archives and found one other person that had the same experience with a MEGA lower.

Maybe it's just MEGA? Or, is it considered "OK" to have a wee bit of rattle on the trigger guard?

I appreciate the help, fellas

ETA: To clarify, it moves side to side on both the roll pin AND the set screw...

As long as your pins are in all the way, I wouldn't worry.  That's not a stress point, and a little lateral movement is acceptable.

If it bothers you that much you could shim it.

Also, I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but make sure you have not overtightened the screw for the trigger guard...

I would still try backing it out a half to full turn and see if that improves the situation.

We have a Mega lower with the MP Enhanced trigger guard and there is no play at all.

I do not like the grip of shame.

I took out the set screw, cleaned and degreased it, replaced the blue thread lock with fresh stuff and put it back in. It appears to be much tighter now. Thank you everyone for the help!
