I recently installed an FN mfg lower parts kit into my RRA lower.  All parts are new.  Everything is assembled as per the TM and various other diagrams I could get my hands on.

Here's the problem.  I manually cock the hammer and squeeze the trigger.  The hammer doesn't release crisply at all.  It's almost as if there's a delay because I have to squeeze the trigger and hold it before the hammer will fall.

I haven't test fired it at the range yet.  I was wondering if the problem will fix itself with some use.

Any ideas?

It sounds to me that you have a tolerance problem. Do you have access to another hammer/trigger/disconnector? If so swap them out one at a time until the problem disappears. Also see if these parts work in another gun or have the same problems. I would guess swapping parts between two guns would result in two working guns.

But I could be wrong.
