Wanted to see what triggers y'all are using out there.  I am used to the stock, M16A2 & M4 pull but would like to see what else is out there.  I have an Eagle Arms lower.

So far, someone has recommended Jewell.

Thanks in advance!

McCormick drop-ins seem to be all the rage these days.  Do a search and you'll see most love them.  I have an Accuracy Speaks single stage that is perfect for me.  Much like the McCormick there are no set-screws or widgets to come loose.  It is solid and breaks crisp with no takeup and barely any overtravel.  I personally prefer single stage for CQBish duties and 2 stage for longer range precision work.  Your first choice will be single or double, then pull weight (safety vs. ease), THEN brand.  Search and ye shall find.  Have fun!

JP Enterprises makes a fine single-stage trigger.  I have one and everyone who shoots it gets a silly grin on their face.

The best for a precision weapon: #1 KAC 2-stage, #2 LMT 2-stage (almost as good as the KAC). For a working gun, stick with the stock trigger. I have two LMT 2-stage triggers  break almost as clean as my 3 KAC triggers. KAC is still the benchmark for a match trigger and reliability.

I have a standard trigger group in my BM and a RRA two-stage in my Colt.  Both have about the same pull weight but the RRA does have a cleaner break.  The pull weight is still too high though on the RRA for accuracy work but it is still a hell of a lot better than the stock trigger that came with the Colt.  That was the worst trigger I have ever had on a rifle with the exception, maybe, of the stock trigger on my 10/22.

Thanks fellas.  Thanks for the dumb grunt breakdown Fly Navy.  I will try the stock trigger and see how it does.  I will have to do more research on the single stage and try some at the local shops to see how I like them.

KAC 2 stage.  5 min install, totally reliable, ultra crisp.

Like I always say, KAC for a two stage, Accuracy Speaks if you want a single stage.

I haven't tried them all, but I will tell you the McCormick single stage has way too much movement in it when the sear lets go.  The JARD is even worse.  I'll stick with the Jewell.

ON THE FRONT END, LET ME ADMIT THAT I SELL TRIGGERS, BOTH CMC AND KNIGHT'S.

THE INTERESTING THING ABOUT TRIGGER OVERTRAVEL AFTER SEAR RELEASE IS THAT WHILE IT IS READILY APPARENT WHEN DRY FIRING, IT IS NOT SO MUCH SO WHEN ACTUALLY SHOOTING.

THE CMC SINGLE STAGE DOES HAVE SOME OVERTRAVEL, BUT NOT NEARLY SO MUCH AS AN ACCURACY SPEAKS, WHICH IS A SUPERB TRIGGER... JUST TAKES SOME TIME AND EFFORT TO GET RIGHT. THE CMC IS FLAT EASY DROP-IN.

THE ANOTHER ASPECT OF TRIGGER USE IS THE LENGTH OF THE RESET. THE CMC'S IS QUITE SHORT. UNLIKE OVERTRAVEL, THIS IS APPARENT WHEN SHOOTING. THIS IS WHY WE SELL SO MANY SINGLE STAGE CMC TRIGGERS TO THE 3-GUN CROWD. IT SIMPLIFIES LOW SPLIT TIMES.

THE CMC 2-STAGE HAS AS LITTLE OVERTRAVEL AS THE KNIGHT'S 2-STAGE, PLUS A SIMILAR SHORT RESET.

IN SHORT, M.S.T.N. DOES NOT PROMOTE KAC AND CMC TRIGGERS BECAUSE WE SELL THEM. WE SELL THEM BECAUSE WE USE THEM AND LIKE THEM.

For combat 2 stage triggers I like the KAC and the LMT. For 3 gun/normal use I like the JP Enterprises drop in.
