I realize this has probably been covered here a million times, but I did some quick 30-day searches and didn't come up with a lot, so....

What are the options for match/target/nicer triggers for .22LR ARs?  I've read posts about ammo issues being traced back to light (JP) springs, etc., but my Stag and CMT LPKs' triggers are just - so - dang - heavy.  Any chance there are compatible aftermarket triggers that will ease up on my finger a bit but still be reliable?

Thanks.

I've been using a CMMG 2 stage. Rounded hammer. It's more of a combat two stage. Breaks at 4.5 lbs.
RRA also has a 2 stage match trigger/hammer with rounded hammer that breaks about 3.5lbs.

I've been using a Geiselle hi speed match with the stock springs and it works just fine which actually surprised me.  I thought the stock hammer spring would give me problems.

Can lighter weight springs (JP etc) be used?  Maybe with a full mass hammer vs a chopped one?

The JP trigger will work with a Mil Spec hammer and Mil Spec hammer spring with no problems. If you are looking for a crisp single stage trigger, that is probably the best and most enexpensive way to go.

If you do decide to run the JP yellow springs....you will probably either need the JP hammer or bob your millspec hammer.

One thing that someone mentioned was about the spring on the firing pins on these ciener style bolts. I do know that the spring we use is a very light spring, in fact, I had argued if we even needed one. Safety got the edge and we put one in our bolt. I do not know what the other manufacturers put in theirs for a spring, but if it is heavier than ours then you will most likely need to lighten that up as well to make a lighter hammer/spring combination to function (do so at your own risk of course). I will not begin to speak for or against what other manufacturers do to make their firearms safe, I believe that they have good reasons or atleast good intentions. I do know that through extensive testing on our uppers, there are a lot of trigger, hammer and spring combinations that function 100% and that we do not have slam fires due to the firing pin moving forward and hitting the round upon the bolt closing (inertia).
