For now, the twins will have "factory" triggers... Ie the trigger that comes in the DPMS lower parts kit. I've been thinking about changing the triggers out to either a good two stage trigger or a Timney single stage trigger. Any thoughts on that?

Really depends on what you like, I don't like a two stage trigger so I sent mine to Bill and had him do his magic for about $35 a set.
You end up with a smooth, light trigger pull and a 1,000 times better than factory. I am going to try the set screw on my build I am currently working on to see if I like that before I send this one off to be modified. I'm sure both of these things you can find many places on this site. |

I like both 2-stage and single stage triggers for different applications. I use a Rock River 2-Stage in my M4 BushMaster. This is my tactical and CQB rifle. I like the 2-stage for these applications because I can keep my finger on the trigger and not have to worry about an accidental discharge.

For long range and or target I prefer a single stage lighter pull trigger. I have a Timney 3 lb drop in trigger in my long range gun. It provides a nice light pull that breaks like glass. It doesn't have an ounce of creep and only has .030 thousandths distance from full pull to reset. This does not suit my style for a battle rifle, but I consider it an excellent trigger for target use.  "

+1 .... That is a good choice as well. I installed one of those in my brothers AR and it was very nice. |
