Does anyone here have experience with Trijicon's customer service? I bought a used ACOG the other day, only to find out it would not zero. Actually it wouldn't shift the point of impact at all. So I sent Trijicon a request for a return authorization number, three days later (because I put the request in on a Friday), they sent me a number and instructions for returning. Besides the cost for shipping and insuring an expensive piece of glass (UPS so I could track it), it was fairly smooth.

What can I expect now? Since they did not ask me if I was the original owner, I am hoping that won't matter. How long should I expect to wait to get the scope back? Has anyone else had this issue with their ACOG not zeroing?

They didn't ask me if I was the original owner, it's pretty irrelevant anyway.  Turn around time is a little more than a week, mostly due to shipping.
I called them and got an RMA right away, which is what you should have done

My Reflex dot would not be illuminated by the fiber optics, the rep told me most likely CLP got on the scope.

I've seen 4x32 ACOGs reticle missing partial fiber optics illumination, Trijicon took care of both cases.

I purchased an ACOG new in the box, and it had had the wrong red dot mounted on top from the factory.  I too got an RMA # and the service was really quick.  Please understand that they service optics that are going back into combat first, and then civilian owners second.

In this case, you really get what you pay for.

Yep, I read that on their page. I have no issue with waiting for combat or LEO scopes to get serviced first. The previous owner swore he didn't have any issues. I would believe him, so, who knows. Hopefully they'll fix it, even though I'm not the original owner.

And I did try to call for an RA #. I was told I had to do it online. Oh, well. Its on its way. I am looking forward to getting it back, its a cool scope.

Oh, and while I'm talking ACOG, what range should I zero it at? I generally like 50 yards with my other scopes. Is that proper for the ACOG as well?

What model of acog was it? Are you sure you zeroed properly? The prism wont shift without giving the scope a good smack after adjusting. Good luck with it.

It is a TA31A. I've never had to smack a scope to have it adjust the prism, that seems a bit odd. But either way, Trijicon will take a look at it and make sure everything is shipshape anyway. Hopefully it won't take too long.

It has been 26 days since Trijicon received a TA11 sent in for fiber optic replacement. They are running slow right now...

That sucks, I was hoping for a quicker turnaround.
