Here's what I have: Trijicon ACOG TA01NSN, with a Trijicon RedDot in a Trijicon wingmount on top.  ACOG has been on a KMC M4 for several years, was not new, optics clear, but coatings obviously rubbed and from time to time splashed with microdroplets of who knows what solvent/chemical.  Various small scratches and dings.  (I do NOT baby my gear, but I learned in USMC to keep a clean rifle at all times.)

Here's how I screwed up: I mounted the RedDot with a bunch of company around asking questions, etc.  (Yep, dumb. I took the RedDot off a S&W M41 and didn't screw up a thing, the only part of all this that went right.)  I must have used the supplied thread lock on the RedDot screws.  You're not supposed to use ANY threadlock on these, you have to remove them to change the battery.  When the battery failed, I stripped out the allen screws trying to get the RedDot out of the mount.  (Details of this not important.)  I thought I might be able to drill them out, so I started to remove the allen screws holding the wingmount on the ACOG (again, I had used the supplied threadlock, which is STRONG STUFF, again, details of this process not important).  I stripped these out, too.  This was the most recruit-assed, rookie mess that can be imagined.  I was (am) mortified.  I requested a return authorization and enclosed a letter in which I admitted to being the most dumbass, most inept, clumsiest, ugliest S-for-Brains that ever picked up a Brownells screwdriver.  Basically, I begged them to fix it and not send it back with a "see your local gunsmith" letter.  Price for repair: no obect.  After all this is a $1000+ rig.  I boxed it and sent it off, then I left town to get ready for a family reunion.

What I expected: an email from them saying something like "this is going to cost your dumb ass $350", etc.  At best.  A wait for me to authorize and pay them.  A 60 day wait on the work.  ACOG returned with the RedDot mounted correctly with 4 new screws in place.  A battery in a wrapper.

Here's what they did:  I got in 30 minutes ago, after being gone 10 days (I mailed the scope to them 12 days ago).  There was a UPS waiting for me.  I thought "what's that...I been trying to be good".  It was my ACOG (I think, I have to check the SN).  It was my RedDot (I think), mounted on this ACOG.  It all appears to be new.  The lenses look new.  The scope looks new.  The whole deal looks new.  New battery in the RedDot.  Also in the box: one invoice for $00.00.  There wasn't even a charge for shipping and insurance!!!

Maybe somebody goofed.  This is way, way over the top, almost scary good.  My mouth is hanging open.  Maybe they'll send me an invoice tomorrow for $350 (which I would gladly pay).  I have ALWAYS received great service from Leupold, and they have always been well paid for it, but this is head and shoulders above and beyond.  Like I said, maybe they screwed up, but one way or another, if you're looking for a scope, you ought to think about a Trijicon.  They have an angel up there looking over the shoulder of incompetent A-holes.
