Anyone seen one of these yet?  I've had mine on order for quite a while and was told they would be shipping in Sept...

Not likely....I thought I read in this forum that they were yet again delayed.  It makes me wonder if I would really want to be the first one on the block to buy one?

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder the same thing...I may just go ahead and find an Aimpoint ML2.

Skip the ML2 and get the M2.  The optics are slightly better.

There are only two differences between the Aimpoint CompM2 and the CompML2.  The optical glass system and multilayer anit-reflex coatings are identical, the housings, zero adjustments, finishes, submersibility, etc. are all the same.

The differences are as follows:

1- The CompM2 has a band pass coating on the lens surfaces. This makes them compatible with NV devices.

2- The CompM2 has 4 NVD switch settings and 6 daylight-visible settings.  The Comp ML2 has 9 daylight-visible settings plus "off".

Unless you plan to use a NVD you will enjoy all the same features, plus more variety of brightness settings, with the ML2. And they are cheaper.

I went ahaed and order a ML2.  I don't plan to use NVG's...at least not yet, but who knows within the next year or so.

I actually found a great deal on the ML2's, so ordered a few extra and posted them on the Equipment Exchange, if anyone's interested.

Don't you just love how "Net BS" gets started and distributed!
