I have a Colt commercial (not a M261) conversion kit that I got new in the package.  I have tried both federal and Winchester bulk pack and I get about 10 percent misfires.  I am using a geiselle SSA trigger in my lower and wonder whether I  am getting light strikes due to that?  Any advice is appreciated. (Yes-I can swap my old trigger back in to see if there's a difference but before I go that route I thought I'd ask here for opinions first).  Thanks!

Check the firing pin first to make sure it protrudes enough to fire the round. Make sure it's not binding or hanging in the channel. Sometimes there can be a burr or metal shavings from machining.
Make sure it's well lubed for break in.
Make sure the bolt is going all the way into battery. It can stay slightly open due to friction on the bolt catch.

Check the conversion kit for fit in the upper.  If the conversion kit slides to far forward and there is a gap between the buffer/conversion kit  and the rear of the upper this causes problems.  You can add tape or other material to the rear of the conversion to add length.  Make sure the hammer has sufficient arc and is squarely hitting the firing pin.   Sometimes going to a standard hammer spring helps but I would do this last.  The firing pin in the Original Colt 22 conversion is in two pieces.  There is an hour glass shaped piece which is actually struck by the hammer.  The hour glass section is held in place by a roll pin.  Ahead of the hour glass piece is a firing pin shaft with a head similar in appearance to a nail.  I've seen the shaft break loose from the head and cause failure to fire.   I doubt if the firing pin  is broken on a new kit.  Pushing on the rear of the firing pin should indicate if the firing pin is long enough to reach the rim of the cartridge.  Also make sure the bolt is completely closed.  If the bolt is out of battery to any degree the chances are greater for a light firing pin strike.
