Anyone have trouble getting their rings to mount on their DPMS carry handle mount?

My weaver rings are loose fit, it appears the top pf the mount is too narrow for the weaver rings?

Any Ideas to fix it?  thanks

If you have a micrometer, you can measure the mount rail and the rings, and see if they match the Picatinny spec:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picatinny_rail

That will tell you if it's your rings our your mount.

If the rings aren't name brand and are sold as Weaver rings, I'd be suspicious of them.  Picatinny's a spec, while Weaver's a design concept, and can have quite a lot of variation, even from the same vendor.

I broke out my calipers and found the DMPS mount had gotten squeezed by the Weaver rings. There is a large channel thought the mount. I put a 1/2 round bar stock on top of the mount and pressed it back to specs.

I can't trust this SOS, so I have ordered another brand.

Thanks DPMS!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa!  The rings actually moved the sides of the mount in?

Is this their tri-mount carry handle mount, like here?

This one looks like it's got a pretty deep channel in it.  If it's aluminum, I could see it getting bent.

The one you pictured is not the mount in question. This one is 6 inches long and  about 3/4" wide.

I has a deep channel and is made from extruded aluminum. has a knurled nut on the bottom. no markings of any kind.

I set it up at home took it out and zeroed my 1.5X4.5 Weaver with it. Brought the M4 type home to clean it and the scope was loose on the mount!!!!!!! No more zero.

If it wwere made from 7075 alloy it would be fine, but it's too soft and deforms
