I posted this in the AR discussion, but probably should have just started here.  Sorry for the double post, but here it is again:

I just got my set of Troy flip-ups (HK front/flip up rear) and mounted them to my LMT MRP upper. The front sight went on without a hitch and is rock solid. The rear sight however, rattles and is completely loose on the rail. It wiggles in the last slot on the rail with the screw tightened down to max (it won't turn anymore).

My 1st thought was the rail was bad - so I tried it on two other top rails and got the same result. I even removed the front sight and swapped places just to see and the front sight tightened down in the rear like normal. I then swapped the thru-bolt and clamp from the front sight onto the rear (they are the same) thinking the bolt was too long or the clamp was out of spec - yet still it wiggles. One last experiment to rule it out - swapped the bolt and clamp from the rear sight onto the front sight and the front sight tightened down fine.

I'm left with the feeling that the whole rear base itself is out of spec and slightly too wide to get a good clamp. And I'm not talking sorta loose - it tightens just enough so that you can't lift it straight up off the rail, but is completely loose otherwise and rattles back and forth in the slot that the thru bolt goes in.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? If so was there a fix other than send it back?

Own a few sets of Troy BUIS and have never heard of this.
Send it back, they'll be cool.

Tried flipping the end of the clamping section upside down?  Some people have it flipped over the worng way and it wont tighten correctly if it is upside down.
