I'm debating replacing a GGG FF forearm with the Troy, but can't lay hands on one locally.  Would be most appreciative if someone could please answer the following Q's:

1.  Are there helicoils in the holes for the mounting screws?

2.  Are the rails still super sharp, i.e. not tumbled, on the more recent manufactured units?

3.  Any information on the rigidity of clamp on style designs vs. one piece like Larue.  Basically, will it stay tight if it gets smacked around.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

1. Yes
2. Yes for the older rails.
3. Very rigid.  Clamps down on barrel nut and the new rails have four anti spin studs for the upper receiver.

There's a great review at militarymorons.com
