[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Troy Single Point Sling Question

I was thinking of getting a Troy Single Point Sling, but I want to use a push button quick detach swivel instead of the HK style hook. I have never seen one of these in person, so is it possible to remove the hook and just attach the sling to my swivel? Also, were is the best place to order one of these slings? Thank You

Yes you can do that. Adco Firearms has lots of them in stock.

It can be done, its just not pretty.

You could buy one of these:

and one of these

Use a seam ripper to take the hook strap apart (its plenty long), and reassemble with the QD sling in place of the hook.

Steve, when Dave and I were playing with one (finger F'ing) I thought we (Dave) came up with a way that didn't involve seam ripping. That is why I posted the "yes" it can be done.
