I have the M4 Rear flip up sight. I can't decide on which flip up front sight to get though.
Which do you all prefer? The M4 front flip up or the HK front flip up? I was thinking that
the HK may give a good line up nice since they would both be circles. Any input? anyone
here use the M4 Rear and the HK front?     Thanks.

I prefer the HK style fully shrouded front sight.

I'm using the HK front. I like it. Line the circles up and bang.

I got hooked on the HK front sight when I was issued a 416 and now use MP5s.  I just picked up the non folding HK front sight for my personal rifle and love it as well.  I thought about going with a set of Centurion for the diopter but they are pricey and I decided to go with a folding rear.

Personal preference. Try both & decide for yourself which one you like the best.

I prefer the HK; but then again, it is just a opinion on the user's preferrance

For shooting dirt targets I find the HK style works best.

I feel that the HK style provides better protection for the front sight post. I've seen alot of bent front sight posts.

Tried both and dumped the HK version for the M4.

The circular protective ears of the HK and the rear aperture line up so perfectly that adjustments on the front sight post didn't always translate to a change of impact on paper. Simply put: it was too easy to ignore the front sight post.

I love my Troy HK front sight. I even have one on my KAC SR15... Shhh, don't tell anyone.

H&K is wrong for the AR.

Because you adjust elevation with the front sight post, the front sight is not in the middle of the H&K circle.

When your eye lines up the H&K circle in the rear sight circle on an AR, the front sight post may or may not be in the middle of your rear aperture.
