I want to tuck away an ar in the trunk but not loose much space. Do they make any bolt in gun box/rack that are used in trunks and LOCKABLE? The smaller the better, I use my trunk CFS |

My department just purchased a tuflock mount recently and I was not impressed. I think I can get it to work, but it just seems that the AR version is not very well designed. I saw another post recently about the Santa Cruz brand and I thought it looked better. I also remember a couple years ago there was a post about a guy who had mounted his rifle in his trunk, well forward under the rear deck. You almost could not see it with the trunk open. I think he also used a tuflock mount, or made his own. Also the tuflock is lockable. It used a hinged clamp on the forend that is electrically operated or there is an option for a cuff key. It would be easy to wire a concealed push button in the trunk to operate the lock. If I was going to keep mine locked in my trunk I think I would have a custom steel box made that was enclosed and had a nice locking door. Just my $0.02 Sarge |
