Didn't want to make two separate threads, so here goes:

1. I CANNOT get my MIAD kit's trigger guard pin to fit into the hole on my DPMS receiver. I had to do some filing to get the grip to fit onto the lower, and the grip screw installs just fine, however I cannot get the trigger guard's hole to match up with the receiver's hole, and the self-threading screw will not install because of this. I have tried loosening the grip screw to the point of not even being threaded in, however the two trigger guard holes will just not align. Suggestions?

2. I feel like a total noob for asking this, but I just purchased a complete BCG from Bravo Company and it came with a small O-ring. What is this for?

The O ring goes around the extractor's spring.  You may already have one installed, in which case the one you have is a 'spare'.

That's what I was thinking, but since its been a while since I've built a rifle it kinda threw me for a loop to have an extra part.

i had the same issue with one of my noveske lowers and it took two of us to get it in. i had to have the other person puch in the trigger guard while it took everything i had in me to screw in the pin. hope that may help you out a little.
