I am about to order a collapsable stoack and a set of flip up sights.  My issue is I have no hands on experience with the items I am considering and I am looking for opinions on them.

The stock I have narrowed down to either the LMT or Vltor.

The flip up sights I am considering are the Troy and the GG&G (thanks to some input from another member).  I really like the idea of the spring loaded GG&G.

Any feedback on these items or maybe something else I need to consider will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Both are good sights, and should work well for you.

thanks stickman, but do you have a preference?  I am looking for peoples favorite and why they choose one over the other.  You might see some quality in that product that may appeal to me.

I just went with the LMT SOPMOD stock and I am VERY satisfied with my purchase. And, although not on your list of BUIS’s, I recently switched from the MATECH to the new ARMS #40L-P BUIS. Another satisfied purchase.

I like the LMT SOPMOD stock.
ARMS 40L-SP rear sight
and GG&G flip up front sight.

I've had an optic fail in real world use, and in my immediate transition to BUIS, my windage adjustment knob spun an unknown amount of clicks.  My input would be find a BUIS that you like, that does NOT require grabbing the adjustment knob to raise.  I found out the hard way, and in talking to fellow instructors and officers, I'm not the only one this has happened to.  My BUIS that I carry on my duty weapon, and backup weapon is the ARMS 40L.  I switched to it after my above incident.  Either of the 2 sights you mention will avoid the issue that I had, however, I'll stay with my ARMS 40L for serious use.

As far as the stocks, both are good stocks, and work well.  I carry Magpul CTR on my duty weapons, but I also like both the Vltor and LMT SOPMOD, and they do offer a slightly better cheekweld.
