Did these come from the factory brand new with that strong silver color to them or did this occur by wear over time?
I have a few UI mags, and all have a very strong silver without any evidence of worn, darker color to them.  Here is
one that I have linked up to an incomplete XM build.

It varies.  I have some shiny ones (some in the the 7-pack cardboard boxes) and others with a dull finish that have seen no use.
