| I am assembling a lower at this very moment and the spring in question is the one for buffer retainer. I have two springs that are the same diameter but different lengths. One is 1" and the other is 1.25" and they both fit. Which one do I use and what is the other one for? It is a bushmaster spring kit. Thanks |

Olny C shaped thing I know of is the c clip that goes on the end of the rod/pin in the port door cover. Clip is on the end by the barrel.
If it is the c shaped thin flat spring that is about 3/8" wide it is the rear sight aperature spring the goes under the flip sight. |
