I'm considering sending in the flat slip-ring I have to US Anodizing to have Victor refinish it. It's one of the shiny purple-black ones, and I'd rather have it flat-black for the project I'm working on. So, exactly how do I handle payment for having it re-anodized and shipped back to me? I've never dealt with them before...Sooo...Yhea.
Incidentally, if anyone here happens to have a flat-black slipring, and would prefer one of the purple-black-looking ones, I would be more than happy to trade with you. |

His price list says $10 for anodizing a slip ring. I just send the parts with a money order, written instructions (color, contact info), plus a stamp for return postage. Pretty simple.
You can e-mail him to check and he usually responds within a day or two. ETA: Looks like you got it taken care of while I was typing. I might have one. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. ETA: I checked, I have an extra black one in great condition. I'll swap you because I want to have one done in gray anyway. |

OK, thanks for the advice on that one! Do I need to worry about degreasing the part before I send it off to him? I probably won't be on that right away, so if anybody wants to take me up on the offer for a trade before I send it off to victor, let me know. I need one, so let me find you a black one to trade. |
