I bought a couple of UltraDot Matchdots a couple of years ago. I have one mounted on a Ruger MkII and the other on a 1911 .45acp. The 1911 uses a frame mount- not a slide mount.
During my last plate match I noticed that sometimes, between shots, the dot disappeared. If I lightly tapped the top of the battery housing the dot came back but would go out again after the next round was fired. Is this a common problem with an easy fix, or do I have to send it in for warranty repair. My scopes have been very reliable until now, and I have never read a complaint about the Matchdots. Do you have any suggestions? I think it has to be something simple. Thanks, Jim |
