[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Unmarked Magazines

I recently found Government contract magazines for a fair price $9.98. Whats the difference between Government contract and Government issue magazines? These magazines have NO markings what so ever. The mags have Black followers, but I have a bunch of green followers to replace them with. Are the mags worth a crap?

how does the body look like--does it ooze of quality or look like a cheapo pos?

Check and see if they are steel or aluminum? If they are steel, they might have been 'government contract' - just for another country

(like the Type 65s), so they wouldn't be USGI.

They are aluminium magazines. No markings at all. I think they are cheapies. I have replaced the black followers with green followers and now all I need to do is test them. Maybe they will work OK, if not they always have a good trash bin at the range.
