I currently have a brand new DDM4V5LW and am wanting to upgrade it. I was wondering what parts you would switch out and why?
Below I have my current inventory along with my up to date wishlist. Any input and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My main complaint is the super cheap hard plastic grip this rifle comes with.

Inventory:
1x Daniel Defense M4V5LW
3x Magpul PMAG Gen M3

Wishlist:
3x Magpul PMAG Gen M3
2x Magpul PMAG Ranger Plate Gen M3 (3 Pack)
3x Magpul MagLink Magazine Coupler Gen M3
Magpul XTM Enhanced Rail Panels
Ergo Grip
Troy BUIS
1 or 2 point Sling
Geissele Trigger

I am also left-handed so anything that helps a left-handed person shoot this please let me know what I should/could consider!

I would suggest to invest in some magazines and ammunition.

After that, shoot it and see what you think needs changing. Geissele spoiled me so that is an inevitable upgrade at some point for most of my AR's. I also get some good back up sights and an optic. After that I would say GTG (after a sling and light).

ETA: All of the ergonomic pieces/furniture are largely preference. Feel around what you like and go from there. Rifles are too customizable for a one size fits all answer but Magpul makes some pretty good stuff along with BCM and others. Since you mention being a lefty, I'll also recommend Battlearms Ambi-selectors. They're great. If you want an upgraded CH, Raptor is top of the line there as well.

This. Get some mags while prices are down.  Drop $100 at Quantico Tactical or G&R or BCM or PSA and get a 10-pack of PMAGS, or DSG or PSA for $7-10/ea USGI style mags.

BCM makes great replacment grips (I assume you mean the standard A2 grip?).  But they're very user specific, so try and handle a few before you shell out $40.

Otherwise, shoot it for a while, figure out what you don't like, and then figure out why you need to change it.  What does the mod do towards your end goal?
