Question is primarily directed towards owners of Palmetto State Armory upper and lower receivers. I'm thinking about purchasing one of their 14.7 uppers along with one of their lowers to make a M4 clone, or as best as I can without getting a stamp.

What I'm wondering is what the finish/anodizing is like on their receivers? Their website says it's milspec but I want it to look and feel the same. I've got a Rainier Arms build right now and I like it and they make a great rifle but the anodizing is very different from my service rifle and I want something that looks and feels just like it. Pictures don't tell the story.

So, those of you in the Army and also own a PSA build, can you tell the difference? Other manufacturers?

Thanks

milspec anodizing varies from batch to batch.

You will not know until you have two examples in your paws to examine. No one else that owns a set can tell that any set you might obtain will match or not. It varies from receiver to receiver most of the time.
