Is there any way to tell when an upper receiver was made? Any markings on them that show this?

What indications are there at all on an upper that provided information besides rate of twist.....particularly Bushmaster uppers.

Thanks

No, none.  Absolutely no way to tell.

The only markings on the upper will be from the company that supplied the raw forging blanks to the AR company.  The same few aluminum companies supply everyone in the industry (except Armalite, who insists on the use of their own forging dies, but still outsources the actual forging of course), so the markings won't tell you anything for sure.

A Bushmaster upper will have the dry lube on the interior.
