So I completed my lower this weekend and I'm getting ready to order parts for my upper. I already have my stripped upper receiver, but I can't find a parts list for building the upper. The guides I've found are for preassembled uppers  or are incomplete. Is there I guide I'm missing? I just don't want to think I have everything to put the upper together then find out I'm missing something.

you need a dust cover assembly and a forward assist. I'd check out citizens armory or fulton armory... also try psa and surplus ammo. They've all got em.

Thanks, I'm just going to be adding everything that I'll need to an excel doc.

PSA has them for $25.

It takes 5 minutes.

$25 at PSA. FA assembly, ejection door assembly, barrel nut,  and delta ring assembly. Pretty good deal if you aren't going free float, ends tonight. $18 at Surplus Ammo and Arms for FA assembly and ejection door assembly if you are doing free float.

So for a free float setup I'll just need the  FA assembly and ejection door assembly, not the delta ring?

Depending on your rail. I'm not aware of a free float setup that uses the delta ring. A lot of them come with or use a special barrel nut as well. MI is one that uses the stock nut, fyi.

Centurion Arms C4 rail uses standard barrel nut also, it is very nice.

Daniel Defense Omega rails use the stock barrel nut and delta ring.

I got a Larue rail and it comes with its own barrel nut.  I didnt know this and bought a barrel nut and delta ring at same time as the rail.
