What can I do to bolster my confidence in the following uppers?
If it means buying new uppers, then I'm cool with the hard right.

- One has the cardinal and the other has the keyhole marking.
- One has a Wilson (I was told) heavy barrel, the other a BM (clearly marked).
- I've put 160 rounds through one and 38 through the other with 0 problems.
- If it matters, these are pistol uppers, 11.5 & 14.5.
- Both are flat tops with "T" markings in white.

Should I send them to ADCO for a rebuild with a new receiver?

Should I get Bravo Co BCG's and call it good (is the BCG more important than the upper receiver)?

If it's not reliable, it's not worth having.
If I can make these reliable then I will.
If I need to sell them at a loss and buy two others, I can live with that.

I appreciate any help.

Psychiatry?

You have shot the uppers very little.  You have no possible reason to suspect that they are not reliable.  What on earth are you getting all neurotic for?

in most aspects, "yes", the BCG (specifically, the bolt) will be one of the most imp. aspcts in reliability

imo, you havent run enough rnds though her to even begin to get a count on possible reliability...run at least a few hundred rnds of varying brands, and go from there

FWIW: i'll agree, you are worrying too much about the wrong things at this point...

Battle Rif - I have "possible reason" to suspect a quality difference which could affect reliability.

Thanks Gatorlips!

I wouldn't worry about it, I've seen both the keyhole and cardinal markings on military guns.

It doesn't seem like anything's ever gone wrong with them. I wouldn't worry about it, but you should put more rounds through first.

You could buy the MOACKS AR 15 Carrier Key Staker and properly stake your gas key if you really want some peace of mind.

Moacks

If it were me, I would buy more ammo and shoot my uppers until they actually experienced a malfunction. Only then would I worry about about what to do next.

Or you could sell both those unreliable uppers to me for a really CHEAP price and get an XM8.
