Ok just a quick blub cause I am at work but I bought my wife and I 2 RRA complete lowers 2 years ago for 200 each. Well I had my Bushmaster on One of the uppers. Well during Armalite's sale I said honey you are getting you AR. so I ordered the CAR upper. Well I tried to install the upper on the lower I got her and it would not go on. I took my Bushy/RRA apart and was able to put my Bushmaster (real tight) on her AR lower. I switched them out she has my old one and I have hers. I also took my CAV-15 from CAV arms apart and put the upper on the lower and the Armalite on my CAV lower and it all worked. What could be the issue with that one lower? |

Where is it tight? Near the pins or near the back of the receiver? Check the extension tube and see if it is screwed in past the upper receiver. If it is, you'll need to unscrew it one turn. ETA: BTW, I tried the Thanksgiving sale uppers on three RRA lowers and they all worked fine. |
What caused this? -all the whiney bitches who complain about the upper-to-lower fit not being "tight enough" and returning perfectly normal, functional, accurate rifles to the factories to "fix" a non-existant "looseness" problem. THAT is what CAUSED this problem in the first place. Loose = correct. Do not try to repair that which is not broken. |

Ah so some lowers are being made tighter than spec for the ones that say it is loose. Got it. On my deployments all my M-16s/M4s were loose and I never had a problems. Training never had a problem either. I am going to shoot it with the 20 inch upper since it fits and see what happens after a 40-60 rounds. It might get loose right? |
| I am having the same issue with a RRA lower and a Stag upper. The block for the rear pin on the upper is too wide to fit into the lower, it leaves scraping marks on the inside of the lower. I brought the lower back to where I bought it and they said they would file down the block for the rear pin on the upper. Now I am thinking that might not be a good idea to go messing with an upper I had no probs with when it was on my Bushy lower. Also mags are not dropping free on the RRA lower. The whole thing is just tight, and I know that is fine, but I shouldn't need a hammer to close it! |
| Both of my LAR-15 lowers fit very tight on both my MUR and VIS-2. The VLTOR uppers are not out of spec, the RRA's are just very tight. I prefer them like this because after you open end close about 100 times and then clean them out really well, they no longer need a hammer and have a nice tight fit to the upper :D |
