Going to build a new, top of the line upper. Already have a VLTOR VIS-3AK upper/rail assembly. Marked for a rifle length gas system on the box.
Problem I am running into is that all of the 6.5 Grendel barrels I can find in an 18" SPR type are midlength gas system. So if I get a custom built barrel like a Saturn , will I have cycling issues on a 18" barrel, rifle length gas system? Can I run a mid-length and clear under this handguard? Need for an adjustable gas block and does one exist that will fit? Tossing out some ideas and any help or ideas you can toss in are appreciated. |
