Can you miss match manufactures on the upper and lower halfs?

In other words will a RRA upper attach to a bushmaster lower?

Do they all fit each others?
Some fit each others ?
Or none?

I am new to this AR but figure I need to do it now before
Obama bin laden outlaws our rifles.

Thanks

All current commercial AR-15 uppers will fit all current commercial AR-15 lowers, provided they are correctly manufactured.

Thanks for the info.

I assume I will have to order the lower from a local
gun shop. Is that the standard protocal for
you builders?

You'll need to buy your lower the same way you'd buy any other firearm.

The upper can come from any source.

Last time I bought lowers, I got 3 from Essential Arms to save on costs and shipping.   You can save time and hassle by getting lowers with the Stock and/or LPK installed.

I just bought 3 EA lowers also. Just finished first build (pics soon I promise) installing LPK and stock was no problem at all. Used a Stag kit for my sons lefty and the upper matches up PERFECTLY to the EA lower. Just for curiosity I matched it to my Bushmaster lower and it was a perfect fit also.

I have used Armalite &/or Eagle, DPMS, CMMG, and Mega lowers before.   The Essential Arms are just as good and less expensive.   All my future builds with be on the EA lowers.   I don't really need a cartoon image on my lowers.
