I just put together my AR and I have a littler play between the upper and lower. Is there a shim or something I can use to take the play out? Its not bad I just want it to be a little tighter. Thanks

O ring trick

Agree on the other posts-not necessary for accuracy.  I avoided wiggle with my rifles by buying uppers made by the same manufacturer as the lowers.  I have found they tend to be tighter.  (Armalite and Mega).

I went and looked at my Dads RRA and his upper/lower has more play than my DPMS. I will probably leave it the way it is. thanks for all your input though.
