[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Upper to Lower Finish Matching

I am in the process of planning a 6.8 spc build and have decided to go with an Ar15 Performance upper since they seem to be among the best. I am about to order the lower and was thinking about going with a Spikes. Does anyone know how similar the finish on these two parts is? If they are relatively similar that would be fine, I just don't want one to be grey and the other black since that would bug me to no end. Thanks for the help.

Please try searching google with "upper lower finish match ar15.com" as this thread gets restarted about 3 times a week.

Short answer- completely random... Trial and error.
