I'm new to all this AR stuff and would like to order some plain black, no window MagPul Pmags. I'm wondering if there is a fool proof Vendor out there that will take my order, fixed price, and be honest about shipping first come first served basis...?

I recall seeing some vendor that advertised that they wouldn't raise prices on orders placed, no matter how long it took to ship, but I can't find it now. This is who I'd prefer to order from, if their story is legit...

Thanks,

Sr

No such thing as a full proof vendor. Everyone's taking a crazy amount of orders, especially for pmags. If you can, watch the thread at the top of the page like a hawk and order 5 more than you think you'll need when someone posts a site with them in stock. I did this and i took less than a week and i was good on mags. But if you have a real job, Ive had good backorder experience from Brownell's (yes they do ship out of order sometimes). Larue seems to show out of stock but they seem to be shipping almost immediately.

GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the shared wisdom. I do indeed have a "real" job and have seen the results of these frenzy's, hours after they've past...

I've seen some Vendors that have Pmags in stock, ship now, for $34...I'm just not that hard up. I've got a couple Cmags that work, I just REALLY want to try a Pmag and see what that unloader dohicky is all about and see how smooth they feed and load. It's like reading about some new kind of candy and not trying it.

Thanks again,

Sr

You could go the "email me when available" route with BravoCompany. They state no backorders and will email you when the parts come in, though they sell out quick. I have had good dealings with them. I caught the tail end of a shipment of normal mags with magpul followers and ranger plates and ordered some along with a M4 cut upper, both shipped out the next day, via USPS.

Bravo Co...I'm on it!

Brownells is a great vendor that'll take backorders.  The only downfall is that they are a popular vendor, and you'll wait a long time.

My strategy - put in some backorders with Brownells, and watch the Magazine thread in this forum to jump on when other vendors have them in stock for immediate shipment.

Brownells ain't the place for Pmags. If you can afford to wait, go with AIM surplus and get free shipping.   Top Gun and PK are getting them in pretty regularly these days

Yeah exactly, BUMP backordering. Im sitting in my Pmag fort right now while other fellas are waiting on backorders. I got all mine over the last 3 weeks from just watching this forum and being johnny on the spot with the credit card.

Edit: LaRue is the mack daddy, never one issue with them. I have gotten a stack of pmags from them this week. LaRue is the ONLY place I will order from now on. I have also had good luck with SKD and Bravo Co, but both had them in stock when I ordered.

All the above mentioned vendors are good to go.  I've had good luck with Palmetto State Armory, Grey Group Training and Anchor Armament also.
