Anyone using the VFG pellet system to clean with?  Thought I might order some to try and wondered if anyone had used them and might have some input.  Thanks!

I've used them for about two years and I would never go back to patches.  They fit tighter and you get more uniform cleaning.  I use them in my Ar-15's and my .308 tactical rifles.  My usual routine is once through with Kroil, severval passes with a very light amount of JB Bore Compound, followed by a final with Kroil.  I clean every 10 rounds on my tactical rifles (good for 1 1/2" at 500 yards, consistently) and at 20 rounds on my stainless barrels and every 100 rounds on chrome lined barrels.  Even though they're chrome lined, they still need to be cleaned, just not as frequently as the stainless ones.  I get them from Brownells.  You will also need the cleaning rod adaptors.  They also make pellets with brass wire throughout for heavy duty cleaning.  I haven't had to use these yet.

Thanks 45, I'm going to try some of them and hopefully they'll work well for me also.  Wow, 1.5 at 500, that's some shooting!

What are you shooting to get those groups, I am more than a little curious.
