What is out there in the civilian market? I am trying to piece together what my options are. I've read a lot about the dbal's is there anything else i should be aware of?

The DBALs are a great option. D2 if you need IR illum. I2 if you don't. I already had a Vampire so I went with the I2. Couldn't be happier with it.
