[ARCHIVED THREAD] - VLTOR VIS

Im FINALLY building my first AR and I've pretty much been sold on a LMT Defender L7E2A for my lower. I really am starting to like the VLTOR VIS for my upper but my question is what other components will I need to purchase in order to complete the gun? From what I can gather the VIS is just a shell.

Barrel, Gas Block, Gas Tube, Muzzle device, bolt carrier group, charging handle. did I miss anything?

Obviously you'll need BUIS or a optic to shoot it.

Ok so then what would be a good complete upper receiver for me to get now and then install the VIS in the future when I can afford it?
