Can the VLTOR light mount be used anywhere on the rail? Or does it have to be on the bottom rail? I want to mount it to the right side of my Knights M5 RAS. I have a Surefire G2 light. Thanks

Do you wrap your thumb around the VFG? If so, you may want a mount that drops the light down some. If you shoot "thumb forward" then mount it on the left side. (right handed shooter)

The rails are the same size.
You could mount the thing on top if you really wanted to.
